Peugeot Partner

The Partner is a simple, straightforward vehicle in almost all respects. There’s an engine at the front, then two front seats immediately followed by a high, wide load area. A range of three engine options are available, a 1.4 petrol, 1.9 diesel and a 2.0 HDi turbo diesel engine. There are two trim levels, L or LX, and there are two differing payload capacities – 600kg or 800kg. Once you’ve grasped the options, it’s an easy mix and match process to identifying the model that best suits your company. If you do, a lot of driving with large loads on board, the relative merits of the HDi powerplant is even more pronounced and finding the extra money for an HDi-equipped Partner is even more of a worthwhile exercise.
Stepping inside the van the first thing you notice is the generous passenger compartment together with enhanced comfort and safety equipment, and an ergonomically designed fascia reflecting the styling of the current Peugeot cars. In front of the driver, the new 4-dial instrument panel has a rev counter on all versions plus an intelligent ‘service’ indicator. In addition, the rate at which the front windscreen wipers operate is linked to the speed of the vehicle. In addition to the cigarette lighter, the centre console also features a handy 12-volt socket. The available load space is utilised well with minimal wheel arch intrusion and wide openings courtesy of the side-hinged rear doors and the sliding side door. The load floor is low for increased space and easier insertion of bulky items. The Peugeot Partner certainly meets the needs of today, demanding customers.
