Peugeot 308

One of the latest additions to the Peugeot range, the 308 has a stunning design that comes as standard throughout the range. The key to the Peugeot 308 however, is choice. The Peugeot 308 Urban is the entry-level design but even it includes an HDi 90 bhp engine which can boast best-in-class CO2 emissions. At the top end of the scale comes the Peugeot 308 GT with its sporty front grille and bumper that instantly grabs attention, as well as extras including half-leather interiors and 18” alloys.
Six engines are offered in the Peugeot 308: three diesels and three petrols. The petrol units have been co-developed by Peugeot and BMW, and are available as a 1.4 and two 1.6s, offering 95, 120 and 150bhp respectively. The diesels come in two 1.6 variants, producing 90 or 110bhp and a 136bhp 2.0 litre all producing a great balance of accessible performance and exceptional fuel economy.

Peugeot has put a huge effort into the refinement of the 308. The spacious and airy interior should accommodate five adults without too much complaint, and a glass roof is also fitted on some models. The rear seats fold flat and the rear arm rest area can double as a through-load facility for long items. There are several storage spaces in the cabin, including drawers under the front seats on top models. The rear parcel shelf also includes a small covered storage area.

The 308 has also been designed to maximise interior space as well as retain many of the ‘fun-to-drive’ characteristics of Peugeots in the past. Body control is pretty good on twisty roads the car has a general reassuring feel when pressing on, as well as a firm but compliant ride in the tradition of some of Peugeot's larger cars. Engine noise and wind noise are kept well under control. The new Peugeot 308 has everything you need for a safe, comfortable journey.
