Peugeot 607

The 607 has an eye-catching exterior with sleek curves and a dynamic appearance. The stylish looks of the 607 have always been one of its key qualities, alongside modern engineering and technology. In November 2004, the 607 was restyled and further improvements to the standard equipment levels were introduced, making the choice of exterior colour the only option. The 607 2.2 litre HDi 170bhp is fitted with Peugeot’s 6-speed ML6C manual gearbox and is available in only one trim level – Executive – So you can tear up the option list as every possible option is fitted as standard.

The interior is trimmed in Astrakan black leather with aluminium detailing on the centre console. The electrically adjustable front seats make finding the ideal driving position very easy, especially as the driver’s seat adjustment can be memorised, as can the position of the rear-view door mirrors. A simple touch of the “boot” button on the remote control key fob causes the boot to open automatically, the motorised control can also be activated by pressing the “0” of the “607” badge at the base of the boot panel. Automatic closing of the boot is activated by pressing a dedicated button located on the edge of the lower boot panel.
Large and comfortable front seats along with steering adjustable for reach and height ensure most people will find their ideal driving position quite easily. On the open road the car feels very responsive and resists body roll in corners well, with precise steering and plenty of grip, while power levels are never so high as to provoke much wheel spin at the front. The 607 offers a very refined drive with muted engine noise and low levels of tyre and wind noise. The Peugeot 607 is built for safety with a high-performance braking system and a reinforced body structure for added security.
